A little introduction goes along way! My name is Ebony, I am the artist and owner here at Touch of Ebony.
My Backstory!
I was born and raised in the city of Charleston (WV) and eventually I moved to the Midwest for some years; Chicago, Illinois. I loved Chicago along with other places such as Pittsburgh and I couldn't forget my hometown, Charleston. After living in larger cities and exploring what they had to offer, I had a feeling that I would relocate back home. Relocating back home was a wild transition, but I made it work.
I grew up involved in the arts, competing in tristate competitions to win 2nd place, while in high school and getting accepted into art school; The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Eventually I left Pittsburgh to enroll in WVSU (an HBCU) and I focused on Art along with Psychology. I loved it!!!! Years later, and I do mean years later, I enrolled into a university to work on my Master's and I had learned so much within that two year span.
I ended up involved in education, working on an art program for an afterschool program and freelancing throughout the years. Here I am now, still involved in a career in education, which allows me flexible hours and now I am a business owner.
